Visit St. Pete-Clearwater has launched a new promotion to encourage travelers to use their remaining paid time off before the end of the year. The initiative offers up to $250 in gift cards for those who book trips through the official website and stay at local accommodations until the end of 2025.

According to a study by the Society for Human Resource Management, about 48% of U.S. employees expect to leave vacation days unused this year. Visit St. Pete-Clearwater is aiming to change that trend with its new incentive program.

Travelers booking through VisitSPC.com/PTO will receive $50 in gift cards for every vacation day used, with a maximum of five nights qualifying for rewards. This totals up to $250 per person.

“Don’t let your PTO go to waste when there’s still time to take a beach break,” said Steve Grimes, Chief Marketing Officer at Visit St. Pete-Clearwater. “Fall and early winter is the sweet spot here – perfect weather, lots of events, and now, we’re giving you a little extra spending money for that sunset meal or night out on the town.”

The area is known for its warm climate during fall and winter months, as well as award-winning beaches and cultural attractions. Travelers can also access additional discounts through the FunShine Savings Passport, which provides deals at over 50 local businesses including museums and aquariums.
