The oceanfront estate known as “Miradero” in Gulf Stream has been sold for $21.6 million after being on the market for one month. The property, located at 1443 North Ocean Boulevard, was designed by Maurice Fatio and built in 1928 for Lila Vanderbilt Webb, granddaughter of Commodore Cornelius Vanderbilt.

The seller was the Ganger Miradero Community Property Trust, managed by the Ganger family, who had owned the estate since 1970. The buyer remains undisclosed as the deed has not yet appeared in public records.

Pascal and Antonio Liguori of Premier Estate Properties listed the property, while Candace Friis from the Corcoran Group represented the buyer.

Robert W. Ganger, whose obituary appeared in Coastal Star, was the most recent primary resident of Miradero. He had a long career at General Foods, which succeeded Postum Cereal Company and was acquired by Philip Morris Companies (now Altria) for $5.6 billion in 1985 before merging into Kraft Foods. His father, Robert M. Ganger, was an advertising executive credited with popularizing diet soda and filtered cigarettes.

According to records and obituaries, Robert W. Ganger and his wife Anneli restored Miradero in the 1990s. The compound includes three buildings with nine bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a pool, and spans 121 feet of beachfront.

The property was listed last month for $25 million according to Zillow data. This sale is among several high-value transactions in Gulf Stream recently. Earlier this month, attorney Henry Rosen purchased an oceanfront home at 3435 North Ocean Boulevard for $22 million. Last year saw Debra Levitetz set a town record when she sold her oceanfront teardown for $39 million.
