On November 19, the Titus Center for Franchising at Palm Beach Atlantic University awarded scholarships to students during its largest advisory board meeting. The event included a notable moment when Geoff and Sherri Seiber of the Seiber Family Endowment presented a $10,000 scholarship, which is significantly higher than the center’s usual awards of $2,500 to $3,500.

The recipient of this record-setting scholarship was Osememe “Meme” Omofomah. Upon receiving the award, Omofomah said, “I am really, truly overwhelmed by how good God is in my life. I’m obviously so grateful for these opportunities from the Titus Center and to the Seiber family for their commitment to our careers and their generosity. I need to call my family and just scream because I am so stoked!”

Geoff Seiber, CEO of FranFund, presented the award and recognized Omofomah’s academic performance and essay submission. In addition to the scholarship, Seiber gave Omofomah $250 in cash. “Because all students need money in hand for pizza,” he said.

“Sherri and I believe deeply in the power of education to change the trajectory of a young person’s life,” said Seiber. “The students at the Titus Center consistently impress us with their drive, character, and passion for franchising. Investing in them is investing in the future of our industry—and we couldn’t be more proud to support Meme and the remarkable work happening at Palm Beach Atlantic University.”

Other scholarships were also awarded by partners and supporters of the program. Recipients are full-time students with at least a 3.0 GPA who are pursuing a concentration in franchise studies and show commitment to university values such as community service.

The Titus Center for Franchising was established in 2017 within Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Rinker College of Business in West Palm Beach, Florida. Students can earn a concentration in franchising as part of their bachelor’s degree by completing 12 credit hours. The center was created through a $1.5 million gift from Ray Titus, founder and CEO of United Franchise Group.
