The Sunny, a newly reimagined hotel in Sunny Isles Beach, is set to open its doors in October. The property, formerly known as the Newport Beachside Resort, has undergone a complete transformation under the direction of its third-generation family owners.

The hotel now features 340 redesigned rooms and introduces six new culinary and cocktail venues. Among these offerings is the East Coast debut of Chef Ray Garcia’s ¡VIVA!, which will serve modern Mexican-American cuisine with views of the Atlantic Ocean. Additional amenities include a curated art program in the lobby, a mezcal tasting lounge located beneath the stairs, fire pits, and live music by the beach.

The Sunny is situated near one of Miami’s last remaining public fishing piers, the Newport Pier. According to the announcement, “It’s not just a place to stay, it’s a place to stumble onto something special.”
