Samuel Reddick, a member of the Orange Education Support Professionals Association, has been named the 2026 Florida Education Association (FEA) Education Staff Professional of the Year. He will represent Florida in a national competition at the NEA ESP Conference.

Reddick is recognized for his dedication to supporting students both academically and in their daily lives. According to Ron Pollard, President of Orange Education Support Professionals Association, “Samuel is a great example of what local community leadership looks like- his commitment to his students is the cornerstone of what Orange Education Support Professionals Association stands for and we are proud of his accomplishments and this award.”

Leaders who have worked with Reddick highlighted his efforts to promote inclusivity through events such as citizenship clinics led by immigration attorneys, spirit days, and multicultural nights. His principal noted that Reddick went beyond cultural initiatives by helping families in crisis, securing housing for homeless students, and collaborating with local organizations to provide necessary resources. The principal stated, “With all that he did to enrich our community, it is important to note that he never lost sight of the students as his priority. Often acting as a mentor for our students, he was critical in supporting attendance initiatives through home visits and parent communication.”

A State Representative commented on Reddick’s broad involvement in issues affecting youth, including domestic violence awareness and civic engagement. The representative said, “Samuel has been involved in a host of efforts from addressing domestic violence issues, and their effect upon youth, to helping our youth engage in the political process.” The representative also mentioned Reddick’s creation of youth master classes and leadership in organizing an annual community Christmas benefit serving over 400 families across several Central Florida counties.

Reddick’s work is seen as strengthening both student success and broader community well-being.
