Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) Athletics has announced a partnership with the WestGate Leadership Program, an initiative aimed at developing leadership skills among student-athletes. The program is designed to support participants in their personal and professional growth.

“I would like to thank Rob, Rachel, and all the WestGate donors for their generosity and investment. Palm Beach Atlantic Athletics is committed to the holistic development of its student-athletes, spiritually, academically, and athletically,” said PBA Director of Athletics Courtney Lovely Evans. “We’re thrilled to partner with WestGate to invest in our student-athletes in this deeper way and provide a platform for them to explore their values, embrace their identity, and develop the mindset to lead well beyond their time at PBA.”

The WestGate Leadership Program was launched by Rob and Rachel Hatchett. It focuses on faith-based leadership development through interactive sessions, mentorship opportunities, and practical applications. Student-athletes selected for the program will engage in activities intended to prepare them for leadership roles on campus and beyond.

“Rachel and I are certainly honored for the opportunity to team up with PBA and the athletics department as we all strive to empower these great student-athletes to grow into impactful leaders,” said Rob Hatchett.

The curriculum emphasizes biblical teachings alongside established leadership principles. The goal is to help participants build character, self-awareness, and a sense of servant leadership.

“The mission Rob and I have through WestGate is to provide leadership development and personal coaching, which then hopefully inspires them to co-create with God a future for themselves full of purpose and influence,” said Rachel Hatchett.

Rob Hatchett previously sold his digital marketing agency in 2021. Rachel Hatchett serves as a board member at Covenant Logistics (CVLG) following her career as a transportation executive. Both bring business experience that informs the program’s direction.

Their vision for WestGate is “to empower PBA student-athletes to become leaders who lead with love, serve with intention, and inspire through their example.” Applications are open for sophomore through graduate-level student-athletes interested in joining the program via the Sailfish Athletics website.
