One Sotheby’s International Realty has relaunched its sports and entertainment division, aiming to offer specialized concierge services for athletes, celebrities, and other high-profile clients. The brokerage, based in Coconut Grove and led by Daniel and Mayi de la Vega, appointed Chris Anthony as managing director of the division. Anthony is also the senior vice president of One Sotheby’s northern division.
According to Anthony, the division will focus on discretion and comprehensive service for its clients. “They are used to being catered to. They have their primary focus: do their jobs,” Anthony said.
Daniel de la Vega stated that Anthony proposed relaunching the division with a sustainable approach. “These sports and entertainment divisions come to market, and they just kind of fizzle out,” de la Vega said. The firm first launched such a division in 2014 under Ben Moss, who now works at Compass.
All agents selected for the group had to apply and meet specific criteria, including minimum sales volume and experience working with athletes or entertainers. Among those named are Kimberly Knausz, Benjamin Westby, Brian Moorman, Michael Martinez, Anna Sherrill, Jeff Miller, Madison Collum, Eddy Martinez, Roland Ortiz, Mark Nestler, John Poletto, Veroushka Volkert, Karen Elmir, Julian Calderin, Michael Raben, John Richardson, Mary Dellenbach, Sandra Tagliamonte, Brigitte Lina, Alina Schwartz, Stephanie Moss Dandridge, Banna Fakhoury, Jackie Feldman, Laura Roxana Garcia, Carla Christenson, Jessica Fernandez, Isaac Malagon and Lara Goodwin.
The firm has recently been involved in several notable transactions involving celebrities and athletes. These include Martinez and Roland’s participation in the $50 million sale of a waterfront mansion in Coral Gables to The Weeknd (https://therealdeal.com/miami/2025/10/16/the-weeknd-pays-record-50m-for-coral-gables-mansion/), Knausz’ representation of Rick Ross in his $35 million purchase of a Star Island home in Miami Beach; and Martinez’s involvement alongside Dennis Carvajal in selling Boston Red Sox legend David “Big Papi” Ortiz’s Pinecrest home for $10.6 million.
“It’s not so much that we’re seeing an increase in demand from a transactional point of view,” de la Vega said. “We’re seeing demand for more expensive real estate.”
One Sotheby’s maintains a partnership with the Miami Heat and is reportedly negotiating with another major Florida sports franchise.
Additionally among current listings is the waterfront property owned by newly retired soccer player Sergio Busquets of Inter Miami. Agent Veroushka Volkert listed Busquets’ Fort Lauderdale-area home for $9.8 million.
