The Royal Poinciana Plaza in Palm Beach has added two new retail tenants. ScandyCandy, a Swedish candy store founded by brothers Calle and Wille Olsed, opened its doors on Saturday. The store also operates another location at 241 Miracle Mile in Coral Gables. La Coqueta, a British childrenswear boutique led by founder and creative director Celia Muñoz, began operating last month at The Current, a retail hub within the plaza. La Coqueta also maintains a store in Charleston, South Carolina.

The Royal Poinciana Plaza was originally developed in the 1950s and offers 192,000 square feet of luxury retail space along with gardens and two courtyards. The leasehold for the plaza is owned by Boston-based WS Development, while property records show that ownership belongs to a trust led by Sidney Spiegel. The plaza is located at 340 Royal Poinciana Way. Details about the square footage leased by ScandyCandy and La Coqueta were not disclosed.

Separately, Herman Law has expanded its office presence in Boca Raton while keeping its headquarters there. The law firm, which represents survivors of sexual abuse and employs about 200 people across eight offices nationwide—including locations in New York City; Buffalo, New York; Los Angeles; San Diego; Sacramento; and soon Baltimore—has increased its lease to 18,000 square feet at 1800 North Military Trail from a previous 10,000-square-foot space within the same building. Joe Freitas of CBRE represented the landlord during this transaction.

The four-story office building at 1800 North Military Trail is part of Boca Center’s mixed-use complex. In 2022, Macquarie Capital | Principal Finance and Vanderbilt Office Properties acquired most of Boca Center for $261.5 million; this included paying $76.1 million for the office building now housing Herman Law’s expanded headquarters. Macquarie Capital serves as the financing and investment division of Sydney-based Macquarie Group under CEO Shemara Wikramanayake. Vanderbilt Office Properties is based in Chicago and led by CEO Casey Wold.
