Amazónico, a restaurant known for its jungle-themed design and international locations in Dubai, London, Madrid, and Monte Carlo, will open its first U.S. location in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood. The restaurant has leased approximately 40,000 square feet across three floors at the 800 Brickell office tower, according to Babak Ebrahimzadeh of Gatsby Enterprises, which owns the building. The space includes room for Amazónico’s nightclub Selva on the top level of the leased area.

The venues are expected to open late next month. Ebrahimzadeh said the restaurant can seat about 700 guests at a time and host at least 1,300 guests per night.

Amazónico was founded in 2016 by Sandro Silva and Marta Seco in Madrid. Silva and Seco lead Paraguas Group, part of London-based hospitality group D.ream International.

Gatsby Enterprises, based in New York and led by Ebrahimzadeh and Nader Ohebshalom, purchased 800 Brickell and an adjacent garage for $125.5 million in 2019.

In West Palm Beach, DUS Padel will open its first club in a 26,500-square-foot space at 2031 Okeechobee Boulevard next year. The facility will feature indoor courts, cold plunges, saunas, and a café. John Winter, Jason Warren and Alec Solomon of Stream Realty Partners represented DUS Padel in the lease negotiations while Lindsey Morriss Meyers of Southeast Retail Advisors represented the landlord.

DUS Padel was founded late last year by Philippe Urreiztieta. The new club will replace an American Freight store that is closing after its parent company filed for bankruptcy last November. The shopping center is owned by Okee Realty Associates.

In North Miami Beach, Pala Mediterranean Kitchen has preleased a 1,400-square-foot space with both indoor seating and an outdoor terrace at Aura North Miami Beach—a mixed-use project under construction at 16955-17071 West Dixie Highway. This marks an expansion from Pala’s original location in Hollywood. Other tenants recently signed include The Missing Peace (an early childhood occupational therapy center), Sunrisas Dental Miami, Florentin Bakery (2,800 square feet), and Mimi Yoga (2,700 square feet). Mimi Yoga offers infrared heater yoga and mat Pilates.

Aura North Miami Beach is being developed by Macken Companies of Hollywood and Trinsic Residential Group of Dallas as an eight-story project with 373 apartments and about 17,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space plus a covered retail terrace measuring roughly 9,000 square feet. Construction is expected to finish in the second quarter of next year.

Alan Macken serves as CEO of Macken Companies; Brian Tusa leads Trinsic Residential Group as CEO.

Wells Fargo has signed a ten-year lease for a new branch location totaling 4,000 square feet at 1207 Southeast 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale. This branch will replace Wells Fargo’s current outpost at 1710 South Andrews Avenue when it opens during the second quarter of next year. Jake Michels and Joseph P. Byrnes from Berger Commercial Realty/Corfac International represented the landlord; Mike Wilson and Russell Bornstein from Colliers represented Wells Fargo.

The property is owned by W D Cordova—an entity led by John Thompson Loos III and Amy Mergler—and sits on a one-acre lot previously occupied by PDQ restaurant; it includes a drive-thru.

Minto Communities USA has relocated its headquarters within Coconut Creek but remains based there after more than two decades at its previous address on West Sample Road. Minto now occupies a larger office—15,500 square feet—at Promenade at Coconut Creek on Lyons Road where about seventy-five employees work onsite. Minto is led by CEO Michael Waters and President William Bullock; AEW Capital Management owns Promenade at Coconut Creek.
