The 2025 IAM International President’s Classic golf tournament, held at Fox Ridge Golf Club in Auburn, Maine, raised over $150,000 for the Maine Museum of Innovation, Learning and Labor (Maine MILL). The event brought together members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), labor allies, and supporters from across North America.

According to IAM International President Brian Bryant, “This event is about honoring the history of working people and giving back to the communities that raised us. Supporting Maine MILL means preserving the stories of the working class. As someone who grew up in Maine, this cause is close to my heart, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we accomplished together.”

The tournament included participation from dozens of teams and featured raffles, giveaways, and remarks from both IAM Union and Maine MILL leadership. Attendees represented a broad spectrum of the labor movement.

Rachel Ferrante, Executive Director of the Maine MILL, said, “This incredible show of support from International President Bryant and the IAM Union will help us continue preserving and celebrating the legacy of Maine’s workers. We’re so grateful to everyone who participated and donated. Your generosity is making history.”

Funds raised from the event are being used for rehabilitating Maine MILL’s former Camden Yarns Mill in Lewiston. The museum is under construction with plans to open in summer 2026. It will include spaces for permanent collections, temporary galleries, classrooms, a children’s area, and a design lab. The aim is for Maine MILL to serve as a cultural hub fostering curiosity and community engagement.

More than 50 organizations sponsored holes at the event. Top sponsors included several IAM offices such as the International President’s Office and various territorial divisions; other sponsors were Jones Granger Law Firm and Employee Benefit Systems Inc., among others.
