Members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Executive Council and delegates met in Savannah, Georgia, to discuss political engagement and strategies for increasing union influence ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. The meeting addressed the recent government shutdown and the need to mobilize union voters across the state.

During the week, International President Bryant delivered a keynote address at the Georgia State AFL-CIO convention.

The event highlighted the union’s focus on building political power within Georgia and emphasized the importance of voter mobilization among union members for the upcoming elections.
