Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs, near Naples, will begin a multi-million-dollar renovation of its meeting and event spaces starting in mid-July. The project is scheduled for completion in early fall and aims to upgrade the resort’s facilities by integrating new design elements inspired by the local coastal environment.

“We are incredibly excited to introduce these reimagined spaces later this year, designed to inspire and connect,” said Rhett Wilson, Director of Sales and Marketing at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa. “By capturing the essence of our serene natural setting, this project will enhance both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the spaces with nods to our surrounding environment, offering an ideal backdrop to drive meaningful meetings and elegant event experiences.”

The renovation will use colors such as ocean blues, deep greens, and sandy beige. Updates include new carpeting, wall coverings, artwork reflecting the gulf-side location, and lighting fixtures like a mesh chandelier in the Estero Ballroom. Other spaces will receive Preciosa lighting installations with opalescent glasswork and silver accents.

The Calusa Ballroom Terrace will also be upgraded with new pavers, lighting improvements, integrated turf, and redesigned landscaping intended to create settings similar to a tropical garden. The registration desk area will feature a digital signage display bordered by custom wood millwork. Meeting space restrooms will be updated with stone tones, greens, blues, wooden vanities, and modern fixtures.

This renovation follows recent updates at the resort: a full guestroom renovation in 2022; redesign of Tarpon Bay restaurant and enhancements to the water park in 2023; and the opening of Tanglewood – A Southern Kitchen featuring coastal design and Southern-inspired cuisine in 2024.

Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa offers 82,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting space. Outdoor venues include Belvedere Terrace with fountains and a waterfall; Banyan Courtyard with live oak trees; Royal Palm and Cypress Courtyards with lawns bordered by palm trees. Indoor options include the Calusa Ballroom (14,000 square feet), Estero Ballroom (7,000 square feet), smaller rooms like Blue Heron and Great Egret with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking tropical views, as well as The Cove private dining room at Tarpon Bay restaurant.

Groups staying at the resort have access to Big Hickory Island within Estero Bay Ecological Preserve for private events or recreation. The resort also partners with Global Works Events for off-site activities such as fishing trips, kayak excursions through mangrove forests, catamaran tours, yacht charters, trolley rides, and bicycle tours around Downtown Naples.
