As temperatures begin to drop in South Florida, both seasonal visitors and year-round residents are resuming outdoor sports such as golf, tennis, and pickleball. Medical professionals caution that returning to these activities with the same intensity as before a long break can increase the risk of injury.

Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Brian Hill, who focuses on shoulder and elbow care, spoke with Luli Ortiz of CBS12 about safe practices for returning to the court. He highlighted the importance of easing back into physical activity to avoid common injuries.

“Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Brian Hill, who specializes in the shoulder and elbow, joined Luli Ortiz CBS12 recently to discuss how to get back on the court safely.”

With more people expected to take advantage of the cooler weather for exercise, experts advise gradual progression and attention to physical limits.
