FloridaMakes has announced that it has surpassed $5 billion in total economic impact, coinciding with the organization’s 10th anniversary. The milestone was shared at FloridaMakes’ Annual Board Meeting in Orlando, where leaders reflected on a decade of work supporting the state’s manufacturing sector.

According to figures reported for the first quarter of 2025, FloridaMakes has contributed $3.6 billion in new and retained sales, facilitated $1 billion in new investment, achieved $331 million in cost savings, and helped create or retain 27,884 jobs across Florida.

“These numbers reflect more than just dollars—they represent real businesses growing, investing, and creating opportunities in our communities,” said John Krug, Director of Economic Development at Niagara Bottling and Chair of the FloridaMakes Board of Directors. “Crossing the $5 billion mark is a testament to what strong partnerships and a commitment to Florida’s manufacturers can achieve.”

Since its establishment in 2015, FloridaMakes has served as the state’s official representative within the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) National Network. The organization works with manufacturers throughout Florida to support innovation, boost productivity, and maintain global competitiveness.

“As we celebrate ten years of impact, this milestone underscores the value of FloridaMakes as a catalyst for economic development,” said Kevin Carr, FloridaMakes CEO. “The success belongs to our partners, clients, and the broader manufacturing ecosystem that powers our state.”

FloridaMakes collaborates with both public and private partners to advance manufacturing growth within the state. Its efforts focus on workforce development initiatives and strengthening supply chain resilience for local manufacturers.

FloridaMakes operates as a statewide public-private partnership focused on enhancing productivity and technological performance among small- and medium-sized firms in particular. As part of its mission, it provides unbiased technical assistance and advice to help these companies remain competitive.
