The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will convene for a Commission Conference on Thursday, September 4, 2025, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The meeting will take place at the Betty Easley Conference Center in Tallahassee and will be followed by an Internal Affairs meeting and the annual 10-Year Site Plan workshop.

According to the PSC, “Items scheduled for consideration at the Commission Conference can be found Public comment may be taken on any item noticed for public participation. Individuals interested in participating should contact the PSC’s Office of General Counsel at 850-413-6199.”

The event’s agenda includes discussions on anticipated upgrades and modifications to Florida’s electric utility systems over the next decade. The workshop aims to review long-term plans designed to ensure system reliability. Representatives from the Electric Power Research Institute and the Florida Reliability Coordinating Council, Inc., are scheduled to present additional perspectives regarding planning and reliability.

As mandated by state law, “Florida law requires the PSC to review these plans annually and determine whether they are ‘suitable’ or ‘unsuitable.’ The Commission’s findings are provided to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for consideration in power plant and transmission line siting certification proceedings.”

A live broadcast of both events will be available online through the PSC website (click “Watch Live and Archived PSC Events”), with possible coverage by The Florida Channel depending on local listings.
