The Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) has scheduled a virtual customer meeting for Sun Communities Finance, LLC, doing business as Water Oak Utility. The session is set for Wednesday, January 21, at 10:00 a.m. Water Oak Utility serves 1,265 residential and 17 general service customers in Lake County.

Water Oak submitted an application to increase its rates to the FPSC in June 2025. The upcoming meeting will allow customers to comment on the utility’s quality of service and the process for setting rates. According to the FPSC, “All customer input will be considered by the Commission when it evaluates the utility’s rate increase request.”

Customers who want to speak during the meeting are required to register ahead of time. Registration can be completed online through the FPSC’s speaker sign-up form found under “Hot Topics” on their homepage. For those without internet access, registration is available by phone at (850) 413-7080 or via email.

Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 7, and closes at noon on Tuesday, January 20.

The virtual meeting will also be broadcast live online; viewers can access it by selecting “Watch Live and Archived PSC Events.”
