The Florida Medical Association (FMA) hosted its annual Days at the Capitol event on Tuesday, bringing together medical students and residents from around the state at its Tallahassee office. The visit provided participants from the FMA’s Medical Student Section and Resident & Fellow Section with an opportunity to observe the legislative process during an active session of the Florida Legislature.
Attendees visited the state Capitol to gain insight into how the FMA represents Florida-licensed physicians in legislative matters. The organization expressed appreciation for those who took part in this year’s event, stating, “We thank all of our participants for bringing their energy and enthusiasm to this year’s event!”
The Days at the Capitol initiative is part of ongoing efforts by the FMA to engage future physicians in advocacy and policy discussions that impact healthcare in Florida.
