The Florida Chamber Foundation’s Future of Work Florida initiative has released a list of the top 30 high-demand careers in each region of the state. The list is based on data from FloridaCommerce and highlights occupations that are experiencing significant growth and replacement needs, with wages at or above the state median of $22.53 per hour, or $46,860 annually. The careers identified cover several sectors, including healthcare, information technology, education, business and professional services, architecture and construction, transportation and logistics, and hospitality.
The report provides information not only on the projected income for each career but also on the required education and training pathways. Of the top 30 careers listed, 15 typically require a bachelor’s degree, while 13 require postsecondary training or certification.

The top careers list is available at both state and regional levels and is a key resource for the Future of Work Florida initiative. This effort focuses on aligning education with industry needs and preparing residents for current and future job opportunities. The initiative encourages collaboration among students, parents, educators, and businesses to ensure that Florida develops a robust workforce.
The Future of Work Florida initiative seeks to create a leading national workforce by 2030 by connecting businesses with educational and workforce partners. It aims to align training programs with industry demands through partnerships among employers, educational institutions, and policymakers.
