Business and policy leaders from across Florida will gather at the Florida Chamber Foundation’s 2025 Florida Transportation, Growth & Infrastructure Solution Summit. The event aims to bring together asset owners, developers, engineers, logistics firms, economic developers, and state and local policymakers to discuss strategic partnerships and solutions that support the infrastructure goals outlined in the Florida 2030 Blueprint.

The summit is set to address a range of topics including international trade, seaport growth strategy, energy needs, broadband expansion, affordable workforce housing, transportation challenges, and infrastructure requirements for the aerospace sector. Participants are expected to receive information on trends impacting growth, mobility, energy infrastructure, and community development.

Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Jared Perdue will deliver a keynote presentation with early insights into FDOT’s Florida Transportation Plan 2055. Other speakers include Beth Cooley of Amazon; Rob Long of Space Florida; Bryan Griffin of VISIT FLORIDA; Ashley Dietz of the Florida Philanthropic Network; Matt Swanson of SelectFlorida and FloridaCommerce; Captain John W. Murray of Port Canaveral; Kevin Carr of FloridaMakes; and Jessica Ottaviano from FDOT.

A new study will be released at the summit by the Florida Chamber Foundation detailing the impact of an undercount in the 2020 Census. According to Foundation research, approximately 750,000 residents were missed during the count. This undercount led to an estimated $11 billion in federal tax dollars not being allocated to Florida communities—affecting reinvestment efforts, infrastructure funding, and broader economic growth across all counties.

Dr. Keith Richard, Vice President of Research for the Florida Chamber Foundation said: “Florida is projected to add more than 2.5 million residents by 2030, welcome 40 million annual visitors, and see roughly 2.1 million new drivers on its roadways. These insights highlight the importance of an accurate 2030 Census count to make certain Florida’s communities receive their fair share of federal funding and have community investments that keep pace with our state’s growth. We’ll be unveiling a research study at the Summit showing how much federal funding each Florida county missed out on due to the 2020 Census undercount.”

Mark Wilson, President & CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce and Foundation added: “As Florida continues to grow, our infrastructure must not only keep pace but lead the way. At the Florida Chamber Foundation, we are uniting business, policy, and community leaders to position Florida competitively on a global scale while building the foundation for long-term prosperity.”
