Florida Atlantic University (FAU) will hold its fifth annual New Year Wellness Series from January 14 to January 28. The series, which is free and virtual, is scheduled for Wednesdays at noon.
The event is organized through a partnership between the Phyllis & Harvey Sandler School of Social Work and the Marcus Institute of Integrative Health at FAU Medicine. It aims to connect experts in emotional, nutritional, mental, and spiritual health with members of the community, as well as FAU faculty, staff, and students.
Naelys Luna, Ph.D., dean of the College of Social Work and Criminal Justice, said, “We believe that true student success is rooted in holistic wellness. This annual series reflects our commitment to that belief and the power of interdisciplinary collaboration, bringing together experts and resources from across the university to empower our community to thrive.”
Sara Starkoff Green, wellness consultant for the Marcus Institute of Integrative Health at FAU Medicine, noted the expanded reach of the program: “Now in its fifth year, the virtual platform has allowed us to reach far beyond South Florida while showcasing expert speakers across diverse evidence-based areas of integrative health and wellness.”
More information about the series and registration details are available on FAU’s website.
