Florida Atlantic University’s Career Center has been recognized as the 2025 “Best of Florida” for College & Career Planning Services by The Guide to Florida. The annual awards are determined through public voting and highlight organizations that show excellence, innovation, and impact in their fields.

“This recognition is especially meaningful because it comes from those we serve most directly – our students and community partners,” said Brian M. Montalvo, FAU assistant vice president of career services. “Success at this level doesn’t happen in isolation; it’s the result of a very dedicated staff at the Career Center, strong institutional support and a shared commitment to student success. As we accelerate our Career Services 2030 strategic vision, we’re proud to set the standard for career readiness in Florida and beyond.”

The FAU Career Center has recently received several national honors for its performance in career services, employer engagement, and innovation. In 2024, the center supported 27,020 unique students—about 70% of FAU’s total student body—showing a high level of engagement compared to other universities of similar size.

According to data from SteppingBlocks, graduates from FAU report an average starting salary of $56,925. The center works with nearly 31,000 registered employers and adds around 3,300 new employer partners each year to expand opportunities for students.

Best of Florida recognizes top organizations across various sectors in the state through a public voting process. The highest honor goes to those receiving the most votes within their category.
