Don Peebles, chairman and CEO of Miami Beach-based Peebles Corporation, announced on Apr. 6 that he has appointed his son and daughter to key leadership positions within the company as part of succession planning.
The move is significant for the future direction of one of Miami Beach’s prominent real estate development firms. By bringing family members into executive roles, the company is setting up a transition in its leadership structure.
According to a news release, Donahue Peebles III will serve as chief operating officer after previously working as an executive vice president since graduating from Columbia University in 2016. In this new role, he will oversee construction, asset management, and financing for the firm’s pipeline projects. Chloe Peebles has been named chief of staff after leaving her position as a brand development consultant with Thryve Wealth Management in Texas. She will focus on optimizing workflows and high-level project management.
Other companies across South Florida have also made notable appointments. Portman, based in Atlanta, hired Ian Slavin from Boca Raton as vice president of residential development to oversee multifamily projects statewide. Catalfumo Companies brought on Monique Nussbaum as general manager ahead of completing the Ritz-Carlton Residences in Palm Beach Gardens; she brings experience from managing operations at Privé at Island Estates and over a decade with Ritz-Carlton properties.
In brokerage news, Re/Max Advance Realty launched a Pre-Construction Luxury Division led by Melanie De Armas to focus on South Florida’s luxury condo developments.
