Delray Medical Center has received accreditation as a Center of Excellence in Robotics from the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC). This recognition highlights the hospital’s commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and safety standards in robotic surgery.

Heather Haverciak, CEO of Delray Medical Center, stated, “We always put the patient first at Delray Medical Center. This accreditation shows that not only do we invest in some of the latest technology to help improve outcomes and the patient experience, but we are also masters of our craft. Robotics can help reduce time in surgery, improve precision and reduce time recovering.”

The SRC’s accreditation process involves a thorough assessment and inspection. Facilities must meet requirements such as surgical volumes, appropriate equipment, standardized operating procedures, patient education initiatives, and ongoing quality assessments. Inspectors also provide education on best practices to staff members within accredited departments.

Gary M. Pratt, CEO of SRC, commented on the achievement: “We’re proud to recognize Delray Medical Center for its commitment to advancing and providing quality care for all patients. This accreditation signals that this facility is among the best in this specialty and is dedicated to delivering the highest level of care possible.”

Delray Medical Center is part of Palm Beach Health Network. It operates a 536-bed acute care hospital with more than 1,700 employees and 700 physicians serving southern Palm Beach County for over four decades. The hospital offers specialized services including cardiac and vascular facilities, orthopedics, neurosciences, emergency care, weight-loss surgery, as well as rehabilitation programs such as Pinecrest Rehabilitation and Outpatient Hospital—the only state-designated brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation program in Palm Beach County—and Fair Oaks Pavilion’s adult psychiatry unit.
