A new food hall is set to open in the former Time Out Market space at 1601 Drexel Avenue, Miami Beach. City Food Hall has leased the 20,900-square-foot location near Lincoln Road and plans to begin operations in the summer of next year, according to a statement from its broker.

Irma Figueroa of Comras Company represented City Food Hall in the lease negotiations, while Dillon Maya of Avenue represented the landlord. City Food Hall is based in Miami and led by Peter Rounce. The company already operates several venues across Florida, including West Palm Beach, Destin, Gainesville, and Orlando. There are also plans for a future opening in Athens, Georgia. Camila Dulcetti of Nova Design will oversee the interior design for the South Beach venue.

Time Out Market previously occupied this site but closed its doors in 2023 after four years of operation. The market was shut down for nearly a year during pandemic-related restrictions.

The property owner is Paul Cejas, former U.S. ambassador to Belgium under President Bill Clinton and chairman of PLC Investments.
