Another mixed-use development is set to rise in Boca Raton’s Park at Broken Sound, following a unanimous decision by the Boca Raton City Council. On Tuesday, council members approved measures that allow Meyers Accesso to proceed with a 290,000-square-foot project at 6111 Northwest Broken Sound Parkway, adjacent to the Atrium at Broken Sound office building.

The planned development will consist of 222 apartment units and include about 2,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space. Amenities will feature a rooftop pool deck, a dog park spanning 2,000 square feet, as well as affordable and workforce housing—23 affordable units and 12 workforce apartments. Jim Bell, project manager for the city of Boca Raton, outlined these features during the council meeting.

Meyers Accesso is a joint venture between Meyers Group and Accesso Partners. The partnership acquired the neighboring 10.5-acre office property next to an 18-hole golf course for $25 million in 2024.

This project joins several other developments underway or planned in the area. Notably, BH Group, PEBB Enterprises and Real Group are leading the redevelopment of Office Depot’s former headquarters into an updated office complex totaling 405,000 square feet alongside a new Equinox gym and a 500-unit apartment building.

Additional projects in Park at Broken Sound include approval earlier this year for a mixed-income residential complex with nearly 289 apartments on Northwest Broken Sound Parkway. In March, Oak Lane Partners’ Bhavin Shah proposed another residential project under Florida’s Live Local Act near his company’s headquarters on Park of Commerce Boulevard.

In September, Tishman Speyer expanded its holdings locally by acquiring the Bell at Broken Sound Apartments for $125 million.

Meanwhile, plans from Beztak and Wexford Real Estate to add apartments and a fitness center to their Bocora project were withdrawn; however, their request to designate an Xceed Preparatory Academy tutoring center as a private school was unanimously approved by city officials this week.
