IAM union members at Atlantic Aviation Teterboro have approved a new collective bargaining agreement that brings improvements to their pay, benefits, and working conditions. The contract was negotiated by IAM District 142 and received strong support from the membership.
Key provisions of the agreement include wage increases for all levels and classifications, a $1,500 signing bonus, retroactive pay dating back to the expiration of the previous contract, premium increases, sick time buyback options, and enhancements to vacation accrual. The deal also updates language related to surveillance, progressive discipline, and shift assignments.
“This agreement reflects the power of union solidarity and the commitment of our members at Atlantic Aviation TEB,” said IAM Air Transport Territory General Vice President Richie Johnsen. “This contract was won by the hard work, unity, and determination of our membership.”
The IAM District 142 team plans to work closely with company leadership to ensure that all aspects of the contract are understood and implemented promptly.
“This contract delivers meaningful economic gains and important workplace protections,” said IAM District 142 President and Directing General Chair John M. Coveny, Jr. “It’s what our members fought for and what they have more than earned.”
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers stated its ongoing commitment to defending members’ rights through collective action and strong contracts.
