Amelia Island has been recognized by Condé Nast Traveler as one of the Top 10 Islands in the United States for 2025, securing the ninth spot in the publication’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards. This marks more than 15 years that Amelia Island has received this distinction, and it remains the only Florida island included in this year’s top rankings.

The Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa and The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island were also acknowledged among the Best Resorts in Florida, ranking fourth and ninth respectively. These honors highlight the island’s reputation for high-quality hospitality.

Gil Langley, President of the Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau, commented on the continued recognition: “Longevity on this list speaks volumes. In an era when travel tastes shift quickly, Amelia Island continues to inspire loyalty from discerning travelers year after year. What keeps us here isn’t hype; it’s the combination of natural beauty, a walkable historic downtown, and the genuine welcome guests feel from our community. Visitors don’t just discover Amelia; they return, often for generations.”

More than 575,000 readers participated in this year’s survey for Condé Nast Traveler’s awards program. The full list of winners is available at CNTraveler.com and will be featured in the magazine’s November issue.

Amelia Island is located in Northeast Florida and is known for its beaches, wildlife, historic sites, and a mix of upscale resorts and local inns. Fernandina Beach serves as its downtown district with shops and restaurants.
